While some leakers are experts in the art of deceiving companies and authorities, others aren’t as cunning. That was the case with Darin Harris, who was arrested this week after posting footage from what appears to be the initial moments of Starfield and allegedly trying to sell a few stolen copies from the warehouse where he worked.
Harris was detained, and most of his original video uploads are now deleted, but mirrors have already been posted in other places. Some of the felony charges in his name include possession of marijuana (which you could see him smoking in one of his videos) and two charges for theft, with fines ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.

It all started with some early gameplay footage he posted from his main social media accounts. Things escalated as he started to post videos with his face in, including a short review where he somewhat praised the game, despite viewers claiming that he “played like a beginner as he’s no game expert.”
Other videos also included him displaying various copies of Starfield in his car’s backseat while allegedly driving to FedEx to ship them to buyers. His online store on Mercari reportedly offered various copies of the newest Bethesda title alongside various other merchandise, which has now been taken down.
The community has been following him since August 22, when the first videos started flooding in, and repeatedly commented that he seemed to have no idea of what he was doing by openly showing his face and allegedly attempting to sell stolen copies.
Bethesda has yet to comment on the matter.
