It’s May the Fourth, which means it’s a global Star Wars holiday and what better way to celebrate than with a new Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order update that finally adds the Game+ Mode, intriguing new skins, customizable combat challenges, and more!
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order free content update details
A few changes have been made to the Meditation Training seen in-game. Now players will have the option to take to combat with two different modes: Combat Challenges and the Battle Grid. The Combat Challenges will have players take on hordes of enemies through a variety of different combat settings across the galaxy, including the Fortress Inquistorius. Each location will be tailored to that particular setting, which means unique challenges for each location.
According to Respawn, there are 12 challenges in total with each challenge having three stars. Unlock 12 stars in total to unlock three adorable new BD-1 skins for your adorable robot companion.
Another part of the update is the New Journey+, which is the same thing as a New Game+ mode. This allows players to dive back into the fray with a new playthrough without losing all of that hard-earned loot. “The core experience of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order revolves around Cal’s growth and learning his abilities as he restores his connection to the Force and overcomes his traumas,” mentioned Respawn. “For this mode, we think we’ve gound a good balance between what to carry over while still allowing Cal to discover abilities on his journey.”
To restart this journey, players will be able to take with them Meditation Training game modes in a new playthrough as well as all previously earned collectibles, lightsaber parts, kyber colors, and other skins unlocked throughout the previous playthrough. For those items you keep, those chests will be empty when diving through playthrough number 2. Those you missed will have a new surprise waiting!
Cal is also getting in touch with his dark side with a new Inquisitor Uniform skin for him. Begone, ugly poncho, hello evil glory because this skin looks sick while breaking canon a little bit in terms of the story’s progression. But who cares? He looks nifty and it comes with a red kyber crystal to complete the dark side transition.
