Square Enix Announces Left Alive

Former Metal Gear and Armored Core developers are teaming with Square Enix.

At Sony’s Tokyo Game Show 2017 press conference last night, Square Enix announced a new title from former members of the Metal Gear and Armored Core development teams. Left Alive is a brand new survival action shooter set in a dark and gritty world that will likely be familiar to anyone who has played the recent Metal Gear or Armored Core offerings.

The Left Alive team is comprised of Yoji Shinkawa, a former character designer for the Metal Gear series, as well as Toshifumi Nabeshima, former director on the Armored Core series. In addition, Takayuki Yanase, a former mech designer who worked on Metal Gear and Xenoblade Chronicles X is on the development team, alongside Final Fantasy producer Shinji Hasimoto. With this kind of diverse team, gamers are likely in for a treat.

Left Alive is currently scheduled to release on the PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam) sometime in 2018. We’ll have more information on the game as it becomes available, so stay tuned to Prima Games!
