Officially named Song of the Sabers, it is the first major content update since the game’s launch and includes a new biome named Powderfall Bluffs, new Saber slimes and even the opportunity for you to have snowball fights with your slimes. It’s a recipe for fun and excitement, and you can enjoy it right now in this winter wonderland.

The Song of the Sabers update is a winter-themed addition that introduces the Powderfall Bluffs biome, a frozen island where Saber Slimes, among others, spawn. While Saber slimes were around in the first Slime Rancher, they’re making a reappearance in the sequel with a new, polished look. Don’t worry; they’re just as cute as they were before.

As you venture around Powderfall Bluffs, you’ll also spot Auroral Anomalies serving as pathways to different parts of the region. This fascinating flora will appear at night but disappear once dawn breaks in your world, so you’ll have to make sure you marvel at it while you can.

The new update also introduces some interesting activities to kill time, including creating massive snow globes and participating in snowball fights with your slimes. Be on the lookout for these so you can enjoy a day of fun in the snow with them! It can serve as some time away from the adventure of exploring Powderfall Bluffs and discovering the new resources available exclusively in the region.

The Song of Sabers update for Slime Rancher 2 is available for download on all platforms, allowing you to experience it right now!
