Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled to release on December 10 following a number of delays. While we wait to see if the game will indeed release on December 10, CD Projekt Red has been releasing a number of teasers and trailers to get gamers hyped for the game.
They’ve also released six tracks from the game’s soundtrack for those curious about the music they’ll be able to hear while playing the game.
Check Out Six Tracks From Cyberpunk 2077’s Official EP
On YouTube and other streaming platforms, gamers can listen to six tracks from Cyberpunk 2077’s official EP ahead of the game’s December 10 release. The soundtrack includes pieces from Marcin Przybyłowicz, P. T. Adamczyk, and Paul Leonard-Morgan with each song sounding unique while also fitting together seamlessly.
We really enjoyed listening to them in the Official Score EP playlist created by the Cyberpunk 2077 YouTube channel.
As amazing as each of these six songs are, what’s even more amazing to us is how they’re only a small sample of the game’s full soundtrack which will reportedly contain 150+ “genre-bending” tracks from a number of recognizable artists including Grimes, Run the Jewels, Nina Kravis, Gazelle Twin, and Rat Boy.
In the years and months leading up to the release of Cyberpunk 2077, we’ve had the opportunity to hear some of these tracks as well with 4ÆM from Grimes releasing last December and No Save Point by Yankee and the Brave from Run The Jewels dropping six days ago.
Based on these songs alone, it’s clear the soundtrack for Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be a serious contender for “Best OST” awards.
As much of a treat as it’ll be to hear the game’s soundtrack while playing Cyberpunk 2077, it’s also something streamers have concerns about given the muted audio and DMCA issues running rampant through Twitch right now.
Fortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 is designed to automatically disable these songs when streamed from console. On PC, you can toggle music on or off as needed, and you have the option to toggle music on or off on console as well.
It’s nice to hear that this is being addressed on the developer side, with CD Projekt Red understanding that having a game with so much music packed into it can be problematic when streaming on Twitch.
However, it’s unfortunate that developers are having to think about this at all. It’s clear when listening to the game’s composers talk about the soundtrack that the music is pivotal to the game experience.
More than that, the team clearly put a lot of time, efford, and consideration into the music with the desire of having it heard and enjoyed. Seeing streams without that music will be odd to say the least.
Our own rants and rambling aside, the six songs from the EP are amazing and we highly recommend checking them out.
