During the Resident Evil showcase today Capcom announced that an exclusive PlayStation 5 demo is available right now! The demo itself doesn’t feature any combat but is made to specifically showcase the design and audio of the world of Resident Evil Village.

You can check out the full showcase right below.
You don’t play as the main protagonist Ethan Winters, but instead, as a character named the Maiden, who is trying to escape the castle.
Capcom also stated that a nonexclusive demo will be coming out later this spring. There is no current word on what that demo entails or when exactly it will come out.
Resident Evil is known for always having a demo before release, so the demo in the spring sounds like it will feature more combat and puzzle-solving than the Maiden demo.
The full release of Resident Evil: Village is May 7, 2021. It will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
