Resident Evil 4 Remake Metascores

As of this writing, the Resident Evil 4 Remake has officially earned the following Metacritic scores: 92 on PC, 93 on PlayStation 5, and 91 on Xbox Series X|S. The game does not currently have a Metascore on PS4. In other words, just like the original game it is based on, the Resident Evil 4 Remake has achieved undeniable critical acclaim, earning Metacritic’s “Must Play” designations on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the honor impending on PC. The latest Resident Evil entry has also catapulted its way into the “game of the year” conversation, as it currently ranks as the third-highest rated videogame of 2023 on Metacritic, only trailing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s next-gen remaster on Xbox Series X|S, as well as Metroid Prime Remastered on Nintendo Switch. As the two aforementioned games are remasters, there is a strong case to be made that Resident Evil 4 is the current front-runner for “game of the year” accolades, at least at the moment.
