It’s been a while since John Rambo, the war veteran who rose hell in a movie trilogy back in the 80s and 90s, saw a home video game release. Sure, Sega released a shoot-em-up arcade game a couple of years ago featuring Sylvester Stallone’s iconic character, but outside of that, he hasn’t really done much.
That’ll change this fall, as Reef Entertainment has announced that it will publish Rambo: The Video Game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
In the game, you’ll guide Rambo across different missions shooting anyone getting in his way while fighting for survival, similar to Far Cry 3.
In addition, although Stallone won’t contribute to the project, he licensed the use of his image and voice from the films, which will appear in the game.
We’ll have a first look in the weeks ahead.
