PvP Players Can Now Be Punished in COD DMZ

Get ready for bounties.

Players who hate the PvP aspect of the Call of Duty: DMZ can finally rest knowing that elimination-hungry players can be punished for being too deadly. With the Season 4 Reloaded updated, Operators that chase down other players will have to face some extra challenges on the map.

PvP Players that Hunt Squads in DMZ Will get Bounty Marked

Starting in Season 4 Reloaded, players that get too many kills in the DMZ will be marked with a bounty on their head that the rest of the players on the map can see. This will remain for the rest of the match, and of course, there is a reward for anyone who is able to claim the bounty. It’s a change that could make high-kill players think twice.

Before the bounty takes effect in the DMZ, the individual player getting kills and their squad will be given a warning. After this poing, additional kills on the map will lead to a bounty. As someone that likes hunting for other squads, this might even act more like an incentive to get other squads to try their luck.

When other teams are able to eliminate a squad or player with a bounty, everyone in the victorious squad will be given $10,000 in the DMZ. This is nearly double some of the most lucrative contracts on the map, so it’s definitely a quick way to earn cash. However, these players likely want you to push and are waiting for the attack with plenty of loot on hand. After all, they’ve killed multiple players already.

Two areas in the Call of Duty DMZ will be exempt from the bounty system. Both Building 21 and the Koschei Complex are free reign to take out squads. So if you decide to enter, watch out for aggressive players.
