One of the most exciting parts about Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the way that its narrative organically unfolds before your eyes, with a variety of side-quests that push you in all sorts of different directions. However, if you’re just following along with the main quest, you may find yourself locking yourself out a majority of the game.
Before you continue pushing on with the main story, stop and smell the roses for a bit before continuing to A New Godsway, as this particular quest is known as the point of no return. You will not have a chance to return and do any previous quests that you may have missed, and in the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 — the bread and butter of the game are in the side quests. If you’re pushing through the main story and skipping out on these, you’re going to miss some of the best moments of the game.
Even worse than that, you’ll miss out on some of the best vocations that the game can throw your way while being locked into the endgame portion. Sure, there is a New Game Plus option once you bring the story to a wrap, but if you’re hoping to get as much done as possible in one go, avoid completing A New Godsway for the time being. Thankfully, unlike some of the side-quests that are available in the game, the main quests are not time-gated and can’t run out so you have plenty of opportunities to go back and revisit the MSQ whenever.
Be sure to interact with everyone and everything in this world, or there’s a good chance that you’re going to miss out on some of the best content that Dragon’s Dogma 2 has to offer. No matter if you’re hoping to become the strongest Arisen you can be before embarking on this final journey, or you’re aiming to complete everything around you first, know that this is the final destination.
