Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC Finally Has a Release Date

The Pokemon Company has officially announced the release date for the second part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. This morning, The Pokemon Company announced that The Indigo Disk will be released on December 14, 2023. Just in time to add it to your Christmas wish list.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet first introduced us to the Paldea region when the pair released on November 18, 2022, and fans were eager to dive deeper into its world when the first of its two DLC, The Teal Mask, launched on September 13, 2023. Now, The Indigo Disk will introduce us to the intriguing Blueberry Academy.

The Indigo Disk will see you visit Blueberry Academy as an exchange student. What makes Blueberry Academy different from its’ sister schools is that it exists under the ocean, somewhere in Unova. On top of this, many of the environments take place in a terrarium-like environment. There are four unique biomes included, which allows for a plethora of potential Pokemon species to appear, including all of the starter Pokemon from previous generations.

The Indigo Disk also focuses on a new legendary Pokemon that is most likely the cause for the Terrastalized Pokemon found in Scarlet and Violet. Hopefully, it ends the epic conclusion to the story laid out in the base game, but only time will tell.

The Indigo Disk looks to be the more intriguing of the DLC duo, and with it releasing next month, it’s time to make sure that you have completed both the base game in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as well as Part 1 of the DLC, The Teal Mask. Beating the main stories for both are required to begin The Indigo Disk, so do that to make sure that you are ready to discover everything that Blueberry Academy has to offer.
