Pokemon GO has evolved immensely since launch and one of the newly added features was that of raids. With so many still in quarantine due to COVID-19, the mobile game has shifted in a few key ways, including remote play, but one addition has been pushed back slightly much to the dismay of many players.
The ability to shoot out friend invites for raids has been pushed back, which was a feature that was meant to make remote raids more doable and enjoyable for all. Unfortunately, the targeted end of June date simply isn’t doable, though it is still in the works.
According to Niantic, “Trainers, due to technical issues, we, unfortunately, will not be able to launch the ability to invite Friends to Raids this month. We will continue working towards a future release date. Please keep an eye on our official channels for further updates.”

While they didn’t outline the exact reasons behind the delays, it’s possible that with so many still working remotely due to COVID-19 that this is the reason. This exact reasoning has been the cause for previous delays, and with the pandemic reaching new spikes on a daily basis, the everyday work progression remains affected.
