Pocket Monsters? No, YOU’RE The Monster If You Use These New Pokémon Products

Don't you dare...

It’s hard to argue that everything The Pokémon Company puts out isn’t cute in its own way, even Muk or Guzzlord-themed items. But the latest product reveals for the Pokémon TCG Paldea Evolved expansion could be the most adorable one in a while: erasers. And yes, I know what you’re thinking, “How can erasers be cute?” but you haven’t seen them yet.

If You Actually Use These Pokémon Erasers, You Have No Soul

Shown off on Twitter by PokeGuardian, the new erasers come in two variants: Lechonk and Smoliv. They are sold as part of the Back to School Eraser Blister pack, which includes one Scarlet and Violet base set pack and a Paldea Evolved base set pack.

But WHO CARES about the cards, right? Just look at the erasers! That lil’ baby Smoliv though. It is precious, and I would die for it. And if you don’t feel the same way and would actually use it for its intended purpose, you are a monster, and I’m absolutely freaking terrified of you.

Imagine going to rub its head on a sheet of paper, wearing away flakes of its skin, and not giving a care in the world as it looks up at you with those adorable eyes. Unless you turn it to face away from you while you’re torturing it to avoid that exact scenario, of course. In which case, you’re even worse than I thought.

If you want to add these cute critters to your collection, there’s currently no price or release date at the time of writing. The Scarlet and Violet Paldea Evolved expansion is set to release in June 2023, so it’s possible we could see them drop around then. And if you are buying the set for the cards, here’s how to spot fake Pokémon cards so you always know what you’re buying.

Either way, I’ll be buying them to display on my desk and NOT using them to erase any mistakes. Because actually using them is a mistake. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
