The PS Plus games for the month of April have been revealed. This month features Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Spongebob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, and Slay the Spire. Persona 5 will be leaving the PS Plus Collection for PS5 owners as well.
PlayStation Plus Games for April 2022 Announced, Persona 5 Leaving PS Plus Collection
Hood: Outlaws and Legends is an online multiplayer game focused on different rival gangs trying to pull off a heist in a PvPvE environment. Two teams of four will try to battle it out while stealing and extracting treasure from around the map.
Spongebob SquarePants is a remaster of the PlayStation 2 and Xbox classic Battle for Bikin Bottom. This yellow porous sponge has been a staple of many early morning Nickelodeon cartoons for as long as we can remember. If you’re looking to relive some of your childhood now is a perfect time.
Slay the Spire is an excellent deck-building roguelike that will put your skills to the test. With four different classes and a bevy of different cards and relics to choose from, you’ll need to really make some tough choices as you battle your way to the top.
For the first time ever, a game is being removed from the PS Plus Collection, which is the selection of games given to PlayStation plus owners on PS5. The collection was announced back at the reveal event for the PlayStation 5 and includes games like Days Gone, Persona 5, Mortal Kombat X, God of War, and many more.
In the PlayStation Blog, it states that Persona 5 will be removed from the collection on May 11. If you download it before that date you can continue to access it as long as you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription.
No new games have been added to the collection since its announcement and this is the first case of something being removed. The recently announced retooling of PlayStation’s subscription service might indicate a change for the service going forward.
