Although we’re in the middle of the 2015 holiday gaming season, we can’t help but look forward to a stacked 2016 lineup. In particular Pokken Tournament, a 3D beat-me-up from Nintendo and Bandai Namco starring characters from the beloved Pokemon franchise. Players pit their battle monsters against each other in RPG combat on a daily basis, but in Pokken Tournament, Pikachu can punch Lucario in the face!

Today, Nintendo and Bandai Namco released a generous helping of Arcade footage, and towards the end we see two additional characters joining the impressive roster. First up is Pikachu Libre, who we first saw in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Saphire as part of the Cosplay Pikachu lineup. Next is Shadow Mewtwo.

Unfortunately there’s footage of the former in action, but not the latter. We’ll have to wait until Spring 2016 in the Arcade and on Wii U to play as Shadow Mewtwo. For now, watch this incredible trailer and let us know what you think of the game.
