Persona 5 Royal, from what we’ve seen thus far, looks like it’s going to be a wildly fun adventure for the already wildly fun Person 5 title. That being said, it looks like Altus is staying firm on the only ones getting this journey will be solely for PlayStation 4 players.

Given that the vanilla game is only available on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, it makes sense, though many were hoping with Joker’s inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that at least a Nintendo Switch port would be in the cards. Alas, it was not meant to be, at least according to a recent FAQ update saying that “There is no plan at present” for a port outside of PlayStation on the eve of new content.

As for Royal, Persona 5 Royal is officially slated for an October release in Japan, and coming to the West sometime in 2020, though an exact release date has yet to be set.

Are you bummed that the Persona franchise continues to remain solely in the PlayStation camp, or does it totally make sense for this particular franchise? Hit us up over on Twitter @PrimaGames with your thoughts, or shout ’em loud and proud over at me @DirtyEffinHippy!

For more about the upcoming expansion, Persona 5: The Royal hopes to completely refresh the amazing Persona 5 experience with a new Phantom Thief named Kasumi Yoshizawa; a new confidant named Takuto Maruki who works as a counselor at Shujin Academy; and a new location to explore, Kichijoji.

It will also be set within the third semester at the school prevelant in the game.
