The Overwatch league enters its second year with a host of sponsorship partnerships, including a multi-year deal with Coca-Cola. The soft drink maker has been named as the league’s official global beverage sponsor for all non-alcoholic categories. Its beverages will be served at the beverage sponsor across a broad range of Overwatch esports events, including Overwatch Contenders, Open Division, Tespa (in North America), the Overwatch World Cup.
Other sponsors include Toyota, HP, Intel, and T-Mobile. Toyota will sponsor the Access Granted: Driven by Toyota video series where prominent players are interviewed. There will also be custom branded vignettes featuring both Overwatch broadcast talent and Toyota vehicles.
HP will provide Omen computers and displays for competitions and practice. The technology company will also sponsor a weekly video called Game/Set, which demonstrates how pro players improve the game. With Intel as the official computer processor company for the Overwatch League, all PCs will be equipped with Intel Core i7 CPUs. Intel’s sponsorship also includes a video series that helps educate fans about the competitive Overwatch play.
Lastly, T-Mobile is returning as the official wireless provider for the Overwatch League. The mobile carrier will be the presenting sponsor for the Overwatch League’s regular season and the Grand Finals MVP Awards. This year, five MVP finalists will be nominated by a panel of experts while fans vote for the winner of the title. T-Mobile and the Overwatch League will also partner to host a player-profile video series during the voting period.
The 2019 Overwatch League season begins on Thursday, February 14, 4pm PST. The Philadelphia Fusion and the London Spitfire will play a rematch of the Grand Finals to kick things off.
