One of the most popular aspects of the legendary Halo franchise has been the ability for players to create their very own maps. These community maps have led to countless enjoyable experiences for players throughout the years. This is why there was a great deal of excitement from the Halo community when the franchise announced that 6.6 million user-generated maps had been copied to Halo: The Master Chief Collection from Halo 3, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4.
These millions of community creations will be ported over to both the Xbox One version and future PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection from the Xbox 360 versions of Halo 3, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4. An exact release date for when these user-created maps will be was not revealed.
However, it was stated that all of the community creations would be officially available on the Xbox One version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection when Halo: Reach is added into the collection. PC players will get all of the user-generated maps copied over from the Xbox 360 version of Halo: Reach when the new version is released for the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. PC players will have to wait until Halo 3 and 4 are officially released on their platform of choice before the copied community maps are added to the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
More information on the transfer process can be found on the Halo Waypoint website.
