An Official Overwatch Cookbook Is On The Way To Expand Game’s Lore

You can almost see it now: a warmly lit kitchen filled with wafting smells of treats to come. Maybe a cup of tea on the counter, a smile awaiting delicious food … and then, “TRACER HERE!” erupts loudly because of course it does and that’s the type of paradise you can expect now that there is an official Overwatch cookbook on the way.

I know, I know. A lot of people’s first reaction when it comes to Overwatch and lore is “where?!” when actually there’s quite a bit to be found. From comics and incredibly detailed animated shorts, to even hidden voice line gems if you have the right comp before a match: there is tons of lore hidden within the depths of Overwatch despite no single-player campaign and the Overwatch cookbook is just one more way that’s expanding.

Orisa sundae? Check. Mercy chamomile tea hybrid known as Valkyrie’s Flight? Check and check. Every hero has a delicious counterpart, making that main worship a little more fun outside of the game itself. This gaming take too is by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel who you may remember from her World of Warcraft and Hearthstone cookbooks as well! 

According to the book’s official description, “Building from the game’s compelling narrative and variety of characters, this cookbook features international food and drink recipes from each hero’s homeland. Each recipe includes straightforward step-by-step instructions, mouthwatering full-color photos, pairing suggestions, and more.”
