Official Cyberpunk 2077 Cosplay Contest Announced, Here’s Where

Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay has already begun rolling out, so naturally the studio is hosting an official contest!

Cyberpunk 2077 has already inspired some incredible cosplays in the past and now that the upcoming open-world RPG from CD Projekt RED has a release date, the creative community is in full force with all of their takes on Night City and V. It’s because of that creativity that the studio is hosting an official Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay contest and for those that would like to partake, there’s a few things you should know first.

First things first, where are these Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay contests being held?

  • Gamescom (Cologne, Germany), Aug. 21-24
  • PAX West (Seattle, USA), Aug. 30-Sep. 2
  • Tokyo Game Show (Tokyo, Japan), Sep. 12-15
  • Igromir (Moscow, Russia), Oct. 3-6
  • Paris Games Week (Paris, France), Oct. 30-Nov. 3

Cosplayers can create their own creations off of characters already revealed (yes, even Keanu Reeves’ character), or wait until the official character guides release – which should be coming soon for people to use as a reference. Entries can be submitted here through the official website, or take their fancy new cosplay to one of the locations seen above.

10 total contestants will make the finish line with 5 finalists and 5 winners. The grand finale will be live on a stage with a $40,000 prize pool at stake in addition to being on the cover of an entertainment magazine alongside a few unnamed prizes. The location of the stage hasn’t been revealed, but it will closer to when they are ready to host it, which will be sometime early 2020.
