No Man’s Sky on Nintendo Switch? Not totally out of the realm of possibility according to studio head Sean Murray. While the team over at Hello is hard at work on the VR version of the open-world space adventure thanks to the upcoming Beyond  update, it looks like they could potentially have their sights set on Nintendo as well.

In a recent interview with the team over at Game Informer, Studio Head Sean Murray opened up that he would “love” a Nintendo Switch version of the game, though it’s not in the cards for the immediate future with all of the content coming up here soon. That being said, he definitely didn’t rule it out for somewhere down the line.

According to Murray, “I love the Switch. We’re obviously very focused on what we’re doing right now, but we have done a lot of work for PSVR to optimize the game. So I’d be interested to see what’s possible. But at the moment, we’re just very focused on what we’re doing right now.”

Though not a solid yes, the fact that they are open to the possibility is incredible. With quite a few open-world titles already available, including the expansive Skyrim, it’s not totally out of the question to see how this could. The Switch has surprised us in the future, who is to say it can’t in the future?

Though no Nintendo Switch port for No Man’s Sky is available now, you can get in on the fun on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC with the new Beyond update going live later this week! Learn more about the space adventure with our game hub here
