The Electronic Entertainment Expo is a fantastic show for checking out new games, but not everyone can make it, since it’s mostly limited to gaming press. There are opportunities to still take part in the show however, whether it’s live streaming or interactive demos.
During its online Direct special, Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime today announced that the company was teaming up with Best Buy to provide exclusive demos to 100 retail locations for the Wii U during E3 week. Though locations and games weren’t specified as of yet, this will give gamers the opportunity to try several big games months before their release. The program is for both U.S. and Canada, so there should be at least one location in relative proximity where you can try them out.
It may not replace the experience of E3, but it certainly beats nothing.
