The Assassin’s Creed series has come a long way over the years, eventually shifting its way into the American Revolution for Assassin’s Creed III, one of the best chapters in the series to date.  Apparently the team isn’t done yet as planning is underway on a new game – and a location might’ve possibly been revealed.

Ubisoft Brazil managing director Bertrand Chaverot explained to Portuguese tech website Techtudo that the next entry of the series could very well be taking place in that area, setting the assassination activities some place that’s far different from old town Boston and New York.  (Gamespot managed to translate the interview and reveal the details.)

Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed anything as of yet, so your guess is as good as hours whether it’s fact.  However, seeing as how the team likes to change things up drastically, rather than doing all their killing in one typical spot, it wouldn’t surprise us if that was in fact the new location for what would be Assassin’s Creed IV.  Now the only question is…who would the new assassin be?  Someone female, perhaps?  It worked for Liberation on the PS Vita.

Assassin’s Creed III is in stores now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
