Spike TV, hot on the heels of announcing a six-movie Memorial Day Star Wars event this weekend, has revealed that on the May 31 episode of GameTrailers TV, a new Star Wars video game project will be unveiled. The first look will be followed on June 4th with an “E3 All Access Live” event, also on Spike, that will show off first gameplay footage of said project.
From there, the project will be available for show, to select people behind closed doors, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
Now the question is – what exactly will this project be? Could it be that the team is finally bringing back its much-beloved Battlefront franchise? Or will this be a bold new direction for the Star Wars series, along the same lines as The Force Unleashed? We’ll find out soon enough…
“I am blown away by both the caliber of the team on this project and their bold vision for this new Star Wars title,” said Geoff Keighley, host and executive producer for Spike TV’s E3 All Access Live special. “I can’t wait to introduce our viewers to this game and show off the footage that left my jaw on the floor when I first saw it.”
Stay tuned for all the official details! And may the Force be with you.
