In the video above, we see the vision behind bringing so many fan desires into one game – especially with the very vocal Bautista begging to be in Gears for years now. We also him donned with the official COG armor, lights and all, which he looks absolutely perfect in because this dude was literally built like he belongs in the Gears of War universe.

Dave Bautista has been a strong name in the wrestling world for quite some time now and in recent years has made a major splash in film as well, most notably his time as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy. With a Gears of War movie on the horizon, the wrestler-turned-actor has stated numerous times that he wants to play Marcus Fenix in the upcoming adaptation – he certainly looks the part – and while we still don’t have confirmation on that, we do at least get to see those particular pecs in Gears 5 that’s coming soon.

Bautista fans will get a chance to play as “Batista” on September 15 as a testing period and for those that play him during that special window of time will be able to keep him permanently in their game collection.

Gears 5 launches on September 10 on Xbox One and PC.
