Netflix’s Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is one of the franchise’s latest installments and is an animation series that takes part within the Tomb Raider universe. The show will premiere on October 10, 2024, on Netflix and feature Hayley Atwell—most notably known for her role as Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger—as the voice of the titular Lara Croft in the series.

The Legend of Lara Croft’s story takes place after the events of the trilogy reboot from 2013 to 2018, which included Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. In this series, Lara finds herself “abandoning her friends to embark on increasingly more perilous solo adventures.”

“Lara must return home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from the Croft Manor by a thief with an uncanny personal connection. Her daring pursuit will take her on an adventure around the world and to the depths of forgotten tombs, where she will be forced to confront her true self and decide just what kind of hero she wants to become. “

It seems Tomb Raider fans have a lot to look forward to this year as Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft brings about another exciting adventure for everyone to watch and enjoy. Again, the show officially launches on October 10, 2024 on Netflix. Feel free to watch the official trailer above.
