It’s been a long time coming, but it’s just about time to “FIGHT!” again.

The first trailer for the forthcoming follow-up to the hit web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy has been unveiled, first making its debut last night during the Streamys awards show.  This one focuses less on character building and more on the tournament itself, featuring a variety of heroes and villains from the popular video game series.  These include Liu Kang, Kenshi, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kitana, Mileena and a handful of others.

This season shows some ideal casting, with Kevin Tacharoen once again taking over as director.  Casper Van Dien, fresh from being, well, himself in the movie Noobz, will play actor-turned-martial arts master Johnny Cage, while Cary Tagawa will once again play Shang Tsung – a role he made famous back when he played him in the 90’s Mortal Kombat film.  So, yeah, we’re psyched.

You can watch the trailer below and get ready to fight sometime later this spring, when the series will make its formal debut.
