MLB The Show 21 Coming To Xbox Game Pass On Launch Day

Still being developed by San Diego Studios over at PlayStation MLB The Show 21 will release on PlayStation and Xbox on April 20, 2021.

However, this morning Microsoft had quite the announcement. MLB The Show will not only be coming to Xbox for the first time as we learned in 2020, but it will be launching on day one on Xbox Game Pass.

You can read the announcement from Phil Spencer below.

“I’m excited to see @MLBTheShow debuting on Xbox consoles this year. Today we announced it will also be available on @XboxGamePass at launch on April 20, allowing this great game to reach even more fans than ever before.”

This is a huge win for anyone on Xbox with Game Pass looking to play the only official MLB baseball sim. You don’t generally see sports organizations playing ball when it comes to subscription or streaming services out of the gate. Most notably EA with Madden and FIFA generally come to these services a while after launch.

Xbox Game Pass continues to provide the best deal in gaming and it seems like we have a new reason to say that every week. Just this week, People Can Fly’s newest game Outriders launched on the service on day one.
