It’s great to see a promotion that not only provides a great deal for gamers, but also gives back to a certain community as well.

Today, Activision announced that it has joined forces with Microsoft and its developer at Treyarch for a week-long sale of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 content that will benefit Call of Duty Endowment. The sale kicks off on October 8th and runs through October 14th, with all 17 personalization packs available on Xbox Live at a discount of 25 percent below its normal price.

All sales from these packs over the next week will be donated to Endowment, a non-profit organization that helps service members in a time of need.

“This is a great opportunity for the Call of Duty community to get involved, and we’re delighted to work with Treyarch and our friends at Xbox to donate all profits from this activity toward helping vets find good jobs,” said Dan Goldenberg, Executive Director of the Call of Duty Endowment. “For most veterans, there’s nothing more important to easing their transition back into the civilian world than finding meaningful work.”

So if you’ve been waiting to give your character a little more personality, you won’t find a better time.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is available now for Xbox 360, as well as PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U.
