Walkthrough

There are several unique steps required to unlock this mission. First, you must finish Mission 43 and have a maximum Bond rating with Quiet. This will make Side Op 150 Secure Quiet available at any time, and completing that side op will trigger this mission immediately afterward.

This mission has quite a bit going on in it, so you may want to complete all of the objectives in the mission on your first playthrough to get the full experience. However, since our goal is to help you earn an S Rank for this mission, we will be skipping a few things and also suggest that you skip the cutscenes to save time. A speedy completion will award you higher points for the time bonus to help secure the S Rank. If you have already completed the mission and are ready to tackle the S Rank on a separate playthrough, then prepare to follow along.

Ideally you will want to have the Cluster Guided Missile (CGM) 25 rocket launcher, but since this mission begins right after the Side Op, you may have to just go with whatever rocket launcher you have on you.

Start this mission by hopping on D-Horse and heading south from the landing zone. Follow the road leading to Lamar Khaate Palace indicated by the objective waypoint in the distance. As you approach the front of the Palace, a cutscene will occur. Skip the cutscene, and prepare to take out several tanks in the distance with your rocket launcher.

Use your CGM 25 to take out the incoming mechanized units, and call for supply drops to your location when you run out of ammo. Call new supply drops as soon as you pick up the previous resupply, so that you have a steady flow of ammo to deal with the tanks. The guided missiles from the CGM 25 make eliminating the tanks a bit easier, but this is still possible with a different launcher. Be sure to try and stay covered behind nearby rocks and barricades as much as possible. It may also help to generally stay at the front of the Palace to get a good vantage point on the incoming tanks.

If you have them equipped, you can also plant C4 and ATB Mines along the road to take out tanks as they drive over them. Move quickly to plant the charges when you have a brief moment of downtime in between approaching tanks. Also, keep an eye out for an enemy gunship that will fly overhead, and take it down with your guided missiles.

Continue to take out each tank. if you move quickly, run up to each fallen tank and use the Fulton Recovery Device to extract them. After taking out the final tank, a cutscene will occur. Skip the cutscene, and proceed to carry Quiet to the landing zone.

As you reach the LZ, a final series of cutscenes will play, which you should skip to save time. Afterwards, the mission concludes. If you moved quickly and efficiently, you will have earned a high enough time bonus score to achieve an S Rank rating.
