Kate Bishop will kick off the first season of Marvel’s Avengers post-launch content which Crystal Dynamics has titled “Taking Aim”. You can watch the gameplay breakdown right below.
The Marvel’s Avengers website had some more information on Kate Bishop.
“Kate Bishop is a world-class archer, adept swordswoman, and master of sarcasm and snark. As Clint Barton’s protégé who, like him, possesses no superhuman powers, she boasts an impressive skillset that has her able to stand toe-to-toe with the Avengers in protecting the world. You’ll meet Kate as she’s searching for her former mentor, Clint Barton, in her own story operation, Marvel’s Avengers: Kate Bishop – Taking AIM. She takes up the mantle of Hawkeye and joins the Avengers to get to the bottom of the mystery and save a world that doesn’t even know it’s in peril. After Kate’s story comes Clint’s story, both of which are intertwined with each other and each pieces of a larger puzzle. You’ll be able to play Clint Barton in early 2021!”
This isn’t all though, the War Table also teased the next season after Kate Bishop, and well, it’s Clint Barton, who is also Hawkeye, so two Hawkeyes?
Clint’s story focuses on an alternate future in which the world is doomed. This tease also showed Hulk with a long grey beard, not sure what that’s all about.
Season two, titled “Future Imperfect.” will launch in early 2021. It’s been a rough road for Marvel’s Avengers, but this may be the start to their redemption arc. We’re excited to see what’s in store for the wild story of Kate Bishop.
Ashley Burch is voicing Kate Bishop, you might know her as Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn or Tiny Tina in Borderlands 3. You can play as Kate Bishop on December 8.
