The developers recently took to the official Fortnite Twitter account to season what’s ahead for players of the popular battle royale title. We see a galactic background with Fortnite written out in front. However, within the letters of the name of the game, we can see what appears to be Thor, and he doesn’t look too happy. What really seals the deal, however, is the Marvel logo at the bottom of the image and the caption, which simply consists of emojis of a hammer, lightning bolt, and rainbow.

The date listed for the Marvel Fortnite crossover is August 27th, which also happens to be the launch date for Chapter 2 Season 4, indicating that we just might see a full season revolving around Marvel. A recent datamining operation revealed the image of someone found in a spectrogram of the Rift sound. Some believe it to be Galactus, the prominent villain from Marvel, while others think it could be someone else entirely.

It’s unknown at this time what players can expect in the upcoming season of Fortnite. We at least know it will be something to do with Marvel, and there just might be a Thor skin, which will certainly be a hit for fans. If the datamined information is correct, we also might be seeing Galactus. It’s anyone’s guess at this point. The good news, however, is that fans will not have to wait long as the new season arrives next week.

Fortnite is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The new season along with the Marvel content is set to arrive on August 27th, which is also when support for mobile versions will end as season 4 will not be able to be downloaded due to Epic’s ongoing brawls with Apple and Google.
