Get ready to face your fears another time. Coming as a welcomed surprise, Little Nightmares 3 has been revealed at Gamescom 2023. Additionally, players can expect to play the game and venture back into Nowhere sometime in 2024.
Little Nightmares first came out in April 2017 to critical acclaim, and it was followed by Little Nightmares II, a prequel to the first entry, in February 2021. Noticeably, instead of Tarsier Studios, who was in charge of the first two entries, Little Nightmares III is being developed by Supermassive Games.

The announcement was accompanied by a chilling trailer that featured fresh faces and locations in the franchise. Similar to Little Nightmares 2, the game will focus on two playable characters, Low & Alone, as they attempt to escape the Nowhere but find themselves stuck within the Spiral. In true Little Nightmares fashion, there will also be a more disturbing evil stalking them behind the scenes.
The trailer does not feature previous characters such as Six or Mono, but hopefully, that doesn’t mean they won’t appear in this third entry. Additionally, for the first time in the franchise, you can play with a friend using online co-op. If you don’t have a friend to venture to Nowhere with you, it can still be played solo with an AI companion. It is confirmed that the title will be coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
With this news, it may be a good time to go back to earlier entries in the franchise.
