Amazon’s Prime Video has announced a live-action TV series of Like a Dragon: Yakuza coming to the streaming platform very soon. This comes as a surprise for most people as there was no major prior discussion or leaks about the show, and now it’s only months away.
Amazon announced the news on Prime Video’s Twitter channel with a teaser poster of the live-action Like a Dragon TV show coming to the streaming platform on October 25, 2024. The series will supposedly feature six episodes, with each one lasting as long as sixty minutes per episode. The first set of episodes will launch on October 25, 2024, and the rest will debut on November 1, 2024.
“Directed by the critically acclaimed Masaharu Take, the series will feature Ryoma Takeuchi as the lead character, Kazuma Kiryu.” The series is set across two periods in 1995 and 2005 and will explore the life of Kiryu and his challenges. The TV show will be exclusively aired and available on Prime Video, so fans will need to subscribe to the streaming platform to view it in October.
