Hunt: Showdown Permanent Price Drop Announced by Crytek

The right move!

Hunt: Showdown is one of the most unique PvPvE titles on the market, and it’s undergone many changes over the years. Crytek has been supporting the title since its original release in 2018, and they’ve maintained that high-stakes first-person experience that Hunt: Showdown is now known for. Today, Crytek has announced that Hunt Showdown is getting a permanent price drop on PC and consoles.

Hunt: Showdown Price Reduction Announced

Crytek confirmed in their recent news post that the price for Hunt: Showdown will drop by over 30% depending on the region. While they haven’t shared the prices for individual regions in their post, we’ll know soon enough on PC as the price change will be implemented from July 11, 2024, on Steam. For consoles, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, the price will be reduced starting August 15, 2024.

The developers have also confirmed that the price change will also affect DLC prices, which will see various increases and decreases across all regions. According to Crytek, these pricing changes have been made to ensure that Hunt: Showdown remains “competitive, accessible, and affordable worldwide” and further development and support.

Hunt: Showdown is receiving a major update in August 2024, which includes a new engine, map, numerous quality-of-life improvements, and more.

This price reduction will definitely encourage more players to try out the title. It also means that Crytek can continue to support the title and hopefully give existing players more content to enjoy.

Hunt: Showdown is currently on sale on Steam as part of the Steam Summer Sale, and you can get it 65% off. The price change will take place tomorrow, but if you’re interested right now, you still have around 24 hours to get it even cheaper.
