The Rocket League RC Rivals set will include two Bluetooth-ready Battle-Cars called Octane and Dominus. The cars can be controlled using any smart device with Bluetooth connectivity, eliminating the need for a separate controller. To coincide with the release of the forthcoming Hot Wheels cars, Psyonix plans to release new Hot Wheels-themed DLC for Rocket League as well, similar to what they did in 2017.

“We’re thrilled to further our partnership with Hot Wheels and bring Rocket League to life with this upcoming toy set,” said Jeremy Dunham, Vice President of Psyonix. “But that’s just the beginning of what we have planned. You can expect to see some really, really cool things come out of our new Hot Wheels alliance.”

This isn’t the first time Psyonix has teamed up with Hot Wheels. The two companies joined forces last year to bring Twin Mill III and Bone Shaker to Rocket League, two Hot Wheels-inspired vehicles that each came with their own exclusive decal sets and wheels.

The Rocket League RC Rivals set will release in Fall 2018. There’s also a slew of new content headed to Rocket League this month with the start of Competitive Season 7. Read more about the upcoming changes in the latest 2018 Rocket League Developer Roadmap.
