While the trailer itself doesn’t provide any new information about the game, it’s a cool piece to give players a little more to hang out with while they wait for the release on February 18, 2022.

For those not aware of the premise of Horizon Forbidden West, here’s the official game description to get you caught up to speed.

“The land is dying. Vicious storms and an unstoppable blight ravage the scattered remnants of humanity, while fearsome new machines prowl their borders. Life on Earth is hurtling towards another extinction, and no one knows why.

It’s up to Aloy to uncover the secrets behind these threats and restore order and balance to the world. Along the way, she must reunite with old friends, forge alliances with warring new factions and unravel the legacy of the ancient past – all the while trying to stay one step ahead of a seemingly undefeatable new enemy.”

However, alongside the trailer Head of PlayStation Studios Herman Hulst did announce that the original game, Horizon: Zero Dawn has officially sold over 20 million copies on PlayStation 4 and PC.

The infographic also states that over one billion hours have been played, which is a silly statistic, but hey that’s a big number and companies love big numbers.
