Halo Infinite Community Livestream Teases New Seasonal Story Content & Battle Pass

The most notable part of this stream comes from the new bits of story content the team teased. During the live stream, we got a glimpse of how this new story will begin o spill out over the course of the season.

The teaser shows off a Banished ship landing outside of the Spartan hangar, after it lands, two Spartans come out of the ship. One character mentioned a malfunctioning chip in the Spartan’s helmet and goes to remove it. At this point, they are told that removing the chip will kill the Spartan and they will not be taking this course of action.

The camera then zooms in on the back of the helmet which is glowing a bright red, could this be insinuating that it’s a Banished AI chip? We don’t have more answers at this current time, but it seems the team at 343 is getting to ramp up its multiplayer seasonal story in a big way.

After a pretty lukewarm reception to the seasonal content in Halo Infinite, Season 2 is a big moment for 343 in bringing back lapsed players and giving longtime fans a reason to stick around. The story content could be a solid push in the right direction, I mean, they have us interested currently.

The rest of the live stream showed off the new maps, items found in the Battle Pass, and even a new way to earn in-game credits through playing instead of purchase.

Events will no longer have consumable items like XP boosters in the pass, new items, armor, and colors will be the standard.

Season 2 of Halo Infinite titled Lone Wolves launches on May 3, 2022, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
