Great… COD MW2’s Battle Pass Just Got Even More Expensive

We hope you like Battle Passes in your Battle Passes.

We all expect a $10 Battle Pass to drop at the start of each season in Call of Duty, and the same applies to Season 3 of MW2. However, there is more than one version of the pass now, and if you want everything in the pass, then the content just got a lot more expensive.

COD MW2 & Warzone 2 – Why is the Battle Pass More Expensive?

The $10 version of the Battle Pass still exists, along with the free tiers that allow for a few cosmetics and the new weapons that players always expect. This time though, there is also an exclusive version labeled as BlackCell, which will replace the standard Battle Pass bundle that allows for extra tier skips. But it’s not just skips. There is exclusive Battle Pass content tied to BlackCell, and it will cost $30. You can find all the details below.

COD MW2 Season 3 BlackCell Details:

  • Access to the full Season 03 Battle Pass and 20 Tier Skips (25 on PlayStation®).
  • 1,100 COD Points instantly awarded.
  • Up to 1,400 COD Points awarded throughout the Battle Pass.
  • A BlackCell Operator, attired in an imposing animated Camo skin.
  • A Pro-Tuned Weapon Blueprint, Vehicle Skin, and Finishing Move.
  • An exclusive BlackCell Sector within the Battle Pass AO serves as an alternative starting location.
  • Immediate unlocking of adjacent Battle Pass Sectors to the BlackCell Sector.
  • Additional, BlackCell-only Battle Pass content: Every Season 03 Battle Pass Sector with an Operator Skin has a BlackCell variant (12 Skins in total) to unlock.

Not only will the BlackCell Battle Pass have exclusive unique content, but it will also bring exclusive skin variations that players can’t get without paying the full price. Of Course, cosmetics are never required in a live service game, but this is a new precedent set for Battle Passes within Call of Duty or any other game.
