Gran Turismo Documentary Gets Name, Trailer

With Gran Turismo 6 set for release later this year, the popular racing brand continues to ride a huge wave of popularity. Today, Sony added to it by giving the upcoming GT documentary a name and official trailer.

Called KAZ: Pushing the Virtual Divide, the doc focuses on Kazunori Yamauchi, the director behind the Gran Turismo series. It shows his passion and drive to create the ultimate racing experience. It begins with the original Gran Turismo on PS One and eventually leads into his work in the forthcoming part six.

Kazunori recently presented the trailer at the Jalopnik Film Festival inside the Classic Car Club Manhattan, alongside the film’s director, Tamir Moscovici.

There’s no word on a release date, but you can visit the official Gran Turismo site for more information.

Gran Turismo 6 arrives later this year for PlayStation 3.
