Far Cry 3 has easily become one of 2012’s biggest surprises, a refreshing open-world adventure with plenty of action to go around. And it looks like we’ll be seeing more where that came from.
Lead writer Jeffrey Yohalem recently had a chance to sit down with the team over at Joystiq, where he admitted that, yep, we could be getting even more Far Cry in the future. To what extent, he didn’t exactly say, but, hey, we’re always happy to see what a sequel has to offer.
According to Yohalem, who was asked about something more in mind for the sequel, he sated, “Yes, I’m working on something now that will be surprising, I think, when it’s announced. But it definitely is a ‘strike while the iron’s hot’ thing, and we’ll see.”
Some more description would’ve been nice, but chances are that Ubisoft is saving the announcement for one of the events coming up, whether it’s PAX East, the Game Developers Conference or, of course, E3. We’ll know more soon.
Far Cry 3 is available now for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
