MiHoYo, developer of Genshin Impact and other popular games like Honkai Impact 3rd, have another new game in the works alongside Honkai Star Rail. The game is called Zenless Zone Zero, a third-person action game that includes a colorful cast of characters, a weird animal mascot, and snazzy music. It isn’t super clear yet what ZZZ’s full genre identity is, but signups for a closed beta (PC and iOS) have opened up alongside the reveal trailer.
As you can see from the trailer there’s a familiar vibe to ZZZ, somewhere between a “hero” game like Overwatch and character action games like Bayonetta. We see several characters with very different weapons wailing on digital-looking monsters. Does this indicate a PvE structure, or will ZZZ be more competitive? It’s hard to say.

That said, you may be able to be one of the first people to find out, as you can hop over to the Zenless Zone Zero website to sign up for that beta. If Genshin Impact has you hooked into the “Hoyoverse,” which seems to be miHoYo’s new front-facing brand, then ZZZ could be right up your alley.
