Gears 5 is the latest gaming adventure to get into the Halloween spirit. The new Gears 5 Halloween event brings back the beloved Pumpkin Ball Mode into the world of war and sweet lancers. Play enough and Gears 5 players can even earn a sweet new Frankenstein’s Imago skin, which – duh, why wouldn’t you want to do that?

How the new mode works is that it replaces the heads of different characters with that of Jack-O-Lanterns, because festive. Players are tasked with completing 13 matches in the new Pumpkin Ball playlist in order to unlock the Frankenstein Imago skin.

It’s also worth noting that it’s not too late to earn the Dave Bautista skin in Gears 5, you can get that swanky piece of cosmetic goodness simply by playing the game before October 28th. So between Bautista, murderous pumpkins, and an ode to Frankenstein, now more than ever is the perfect time to jump into Gears 5.

As for the game itself, Gears 5 is available now on Xbox One and Windows 10. Excited? Hit us up with your Kait-goodness thoughts over on Twitter @PrimaGames! You can also learn more about the game below:
