Every month, PlayStation Plus members can get access to free games with their monthly subscription. In addition to the ability to play online with friends, two free games are also offered on a monthly basis. It’s a solid deal for any type of gamer and as the month June comes to a close, the July PS Plus lineup is now revealed for those interested in scooping up some free games. Even better? There’s a third surprise added with an interesting interactive cinematic experience.
PS Plus July 2020 Lineup
The PS Plus July 2020 lineup kicks off on July 7 and will run until August 3rd and that includes NBA 2K20, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20-Year Celebration, and the cinematic Erica experience that you may or may not have already been aware of.
NBA 2K has evolved into much more than a basketball simulation, it has a storyline that players can enjoy while also hosting a multiplayer experience that defies generational enjoyment. NBA continues to evolve and with a new one on the horizon, it’s a solid time to enjoy the most recent iteration for free!
Rise of the Tomb Raider is a reboot of a beloved franchise with a new outlook on Lara Croft’s origins story. This reboot also inspired a movie spin-off and while that was seen as a hit or miss, the gaming adventures of a much younger Croft was a huge success.
Now for Erica, the added surprise! According to Sony, “This feature-length cinematic experience merges high-fidelity Hollywood production values with engaging, tactile gameplay. Become Erica, a brave young lady plagued with nightmares of your father’s murder. With the traumatic events that have haunted you as a child dragged back into the light of the present-day vis grisly new clues, it’s up to you to unearth the shocking truth behind this devastating tragedy. Every choice you make influences how the game develops, with multiple endings awaiting you at the finale of the emotional branching narrative.”

The team also mentioned that a new free PS4 theme would also be available to celebrate 10 years of PS Plus! For the gamers that have an active PlayStation Plus membership, the PS Plus July2020 lineup is yours to keep for as long as that membership remains intact. If the membership expires, Sony will remove any PS Plus downloads from your library and they will be made inaccessible, so make sure to keep that service going to avoid library disruption.
