Today, Epic Games unleashed the first official teaser image for Fortnite Season 6, just days before the start of the new season. The teaser features a DJ llama as well as what appears to be the infamous purple cube, which melted over the top of Loot Lake just last week.
The official Fortnite account tweeted the Season 6 teaser image earlier this morning, with text that reads, “All great parties need a DJ.” Until today, there hasn’t been any real indication as to what the theme for the upcoming season will be. The most fans have had to work with is the mysterious purple cube, which took several days to tumble across the battle royale map before melting onto Loot Lake, transforming the surface of the lake into a massive bounce pad.

Bouncy cubes and DJ llamas don’t really give us much to work with, so the theme for Fortnite Season 6 is still anyone’s guess. The fact that the cube is in the image as well may indicate that we could see the return of the cube in Season 6, or that more cubes with unique properties may be on their way to terraform the map. We’ll find out soon enough.
After being originally slated for Tuesday, Season 6 is now scheduled to kick off this Thursday, September 27. More teasers are likely to drop in the days leading up to the start of Fortnite Season 6, so be sure to check back here for details.
Until then, you still have a smidgeon of time left to finish up any last-minute challenges to rank up your Season 5 Battle Pass and upgrade the Ragnarok skin in Fortnite.
