Dead Space 3 is finally hitting stores today, and there’s a lot to be excited about, whether it’s the intense co-op, the fine weapon crafting, or the fact you can smash enemies into about a bazillion pieces. But if you’re looking to expand the adventure a little bit, Electronic Arts has you covered.
The company has announced today that they will be bringing the first add-on content for the game, Awakening, to Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC this march. Priced at $9.99, the content has you “experience the franchise’s darkest chapters as the Necromorph battles become even more gruesome and terrifying than ever before.” Executive producer Steve Papoutsis has even gone all out to say that it’s “some of the most disturbing content” found in any Dead Space game. Oh, come on…certainly it can’t be more disturbing than that Psy pistachio Super Bowl ad, right? Or the GoDaddy.com geek kiss? (Or can it?!)
We’ll have a preview of this content very soon. In the meantime, hop on board the Dead Space 3 horror train today. You’ll be glad you did.
