FFXVI Release Window Revealed In New Explosive Trailer

Final Fantasy XVI is coming in Summer 2023, and while the wait might seem long, the new trailer is packed full of new details and over-the-top spectacles.

Some more information was given on the PlayStation Blog following the State of Play. Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida stated in the blog post

“In previous interviews and updates, we didn’t delve too deep into details about the game system, but hopefully with this preview, you all were able to get a better picture of what actual gameplay will entail—namely, high-octane battles featuring our protagonist Clive Rosfield wielding a full arsenal of attacks unique to the game’s many Eikons (summons). Not to mention epic clashes between the Eikons themselves that put you right in the action.”

In the trailer, we saw these fearsome gods go toe to toe. High scale epic battles between famous franchise Eikons like Shiva and Ifrit were real standout moments.

It also introduced two new characters that awaken into being Eikons. Permanent Economic Adviser Hugo Kupka awakens as Titan and the coldhearted and ruthless Benedikta Harman awakens as Garuda.

It seems some key players will learn about their awakening powers and turn into mighty Eikons themselves.

There is still a lot of time between now and the release date for the game, so hopefully, we will see a lot more of FFXVI before its anticipated release next summer. For now though, just sit back and let the new trailer wash over you.
