FFXIV Patch 6.1 Trailer Shows off New Story, Alliance Raid, & Release Date

This is our first real look at the content that is going to be found in patch 6.1 which is titled Newfound Adventure. This marks the first major patch since the release of Endwalker back in December. We’re officially moving on from the conclusion of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark story arc.

Easily the most interesting piece of dialogue included in the trailer is Y’shtola mentioning “As you know I’ve researching ways from the source to one of its reflections.” Indicating that we might finally begin to see what the other reflections of the star are up to.

Obviously, The First reflection is the crux of the Shadowbringers campaign, and a few other reflections have been destroyed in The Rejoining.

The new Alliance Raid Myths of the Realm will focus on the twelve gods of the universe and the trailer shows off quite a big chunk of footage from the raid, including the boss fights that seem to be versions of the twelve themselves.

During the Live Letter, the release date for the patch was announced to be April 12, 2022. So we won’t have to wait long before getting into it. For now, though, we will be combing over every inch of that trailer looking for more hints and clues to what’s next.
