FFXIV Crossover with Fall Guys Certainly Doesn’t Stumble

Falling down the critically acclaimed mmorpg rabbit hole.

During the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest 2023 Keynote, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida announced that Fall Guys and Final Fantasy XIV would have a crossover event. This crossover will feature a new Warriors of Light Fame pass in Fall Guys and some wacky new levels for FFXIV in the Gold Saucer.

The Warriors of Light Fame Pass will launch on August 22, 2023, and run for six weeks until October 3, 2023. It will feature costumes from the game, such as Alphinaud, Alisaie, Esitinien, and other iconic Final Fantasy creatures like the Chocobo.

Be sure to check out the pass and earn all of those fun new skins. Since Endwalker is over, the Scions of the Seventh Dawn are taking a much-needed break.

As for the Fall Guys content in Final Fantasy XIV, you’ll take your luck to the courses in the Gold Saucer, which will arrive at some point during the 6.5 patch series. You can take a look at some of the screenshots from the Gold Saucer pandemonium below.

We certainly did not have this crossover in our Keynote bingo card, but here we are. Luckily, we won’t have to wait long before experiencing this truly bizarre video game crossover.

Of course, plenty of other information was given during the keynote. We learned about the brand new 7.0 expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, now known as Dawntrail. Naoki Yoshida even teased some new jobs with a strange t-shirt that left fans scratching their heads.

Final Fantasy XIV announced that the game is finally coming to the Xbox platform, starting with an open beta in Spring 2024 for Xbox Series X|S.
