It’s been made official by Russell Williams that Flying Lab are releasing an expansion for their massively multiplayer online game Pirates of the Burning Sea.
We don’t know much else yet but what we do know is that Flying Lab are up for listening to ideas from fans of the game.
Word comes from a developer blog, in which Williams stated “The last big news on the horizon is expansion”.
“We’re starting to look at where we go next to build out the world of Pirates, and doing our scheduling estimates. If you’ve got an idea burning in your head, first, see a doctor, but second, write it down as a response and let us know where you would like to see the borders pushed back.”
Pirates of the Burning Sea takes place in the 18th Century Caribbean, and features a host of real-life locations, including New Orleans and Havana. The expansion could well involve South America, or perhaps the north eastern coast of colonial America, we’ll have to see.
There’s a load of information on staff changes, a move to a new office location, details of the swordfighting revisions, which are billed to be “the last major revamp”.
If you’re after a little more information then head over to the Pirates of the Burning Sea game hub.
